Wendy Heilbut’s legal practice bridges the gap between
traditional law and innovative growth. In addition to advising
early stage and high growth companies as their outside general
counsel, she is a leader in managing domestic and international
trademark portfolios, cross-border trademark strategies and the
intellectual property direction for innovative companies large and
small. As the firm Managing Partner and the founder of Jayaram
Law’s New York City practice, she has guided such visionary
companies as Rebecca Minkoff’s Female Founder Collective,
Refinery29, Shatter Fund and Ankura Consulting Group to launch and
execute their legal, IP and growth strategies.
Wendy is also an angel investor with 37 Angels and has offered
mentoring through numerous accelerators including Monarq Incubator,
WeWork/Labs and Backstage Capital. Prior to joining Jayaram Law,
Wendy was an associate at Jones Day in New York and worked directly
under Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth in the Federal District Court
for the District of Columbia. Wendy attended American University
Washington College of Law and received her BA in comparative
